ATS score
Also: resume score, match score
An ATS score is a 0–100 rating of how well a resume matches a specific job description — typically based on keyword overlap, required skills, and formatting readability. A higher score means a closer match to what the job asks for.
An ATS or match score estimates how closely your resume aligns with a particular posting. Good scoring is deterministic and transparent: it shows which required ("must-have") and preferred ("nice-to-have") keywords you’re missing, so you can see exactly why the number is what it is.
A score is only meaningful against a specific job — a resume that scores 90 for one role may score 55 for another. Treat it as a targeting tool, not a grade of resume quality in the abstract.
Common questions
- What is a good ATS score?
- It depends on the job, but a strong match generally means covering the posting’s must-have keywords and required skills. Resuvia shows the specific keywords you’re missing rather than only a number.
